On Agoraphobic Nosebleed’s earlier work (I can’t remember which release specifically, but some of the noise pieces on Honky Reduction spring to mind) there are a few tracks which hit so hard sonically, that whenever the term ‘power electronics’ is used, I instantly think of them. G.R. by Deathpile immediately hits me with that same sonic collapse, that incredible rumble and those hectic vocals. It is far too similar to NOT have been a massive influence on ANb (or Randall specifically).
This is beautiful; as beautiful as an album basically about murdering prostitutes can be. Truly, madly, deafeningly, this is power electronics.
