I don't have much in common with the type of people who relish a yearly visit to the Reading and Leeds festivals, but one thing I do have in common with a lot of them is a seemingly rabid appreciation of the early Muse records. Granted, anything the band has released since 2008 onward has been pretty much a disgusting wet fart to the face. But the early records mixed odd, dark indie a la Radiohead with masses of progressive bombast and classical stylings which underpinned the entire writing style. Absolution was the last record that truly perpetrated such an approach and therefore gets the honourable Lines In Wax treatment. Enjoy!
